Saint Mark Community Outreach Center to host 'Poetry Workshop' led by Terralisa McBride

FLINT, Michigan — On Saturday, April 27 from noon to 2:00 p.m., Saint Mark Community Outreach Center (SMCOC) will host a special event titled 'Poetry Workshop' led by esteemed author Terralisa McBride. The event takes place at SMCOC's premises located at 615 W. McClellan in Flint. 

As a published author, McBride brings a wealth of experience and passion for the written word to the workshop and hopes to inspire participants to delve into the world of poetry.

"I am honored and thrilled about the upcoming program," said McBride in a press statement. "It's a privilege to have been invited as a guest speaker to share my love for poetry with the community."

With nearly 28 years of experience at Skaff Carpet and Furniture, McBride offers a unique perspective in her poetry, drawing inspiration from her professional journey and personal roles as a mother and grandmother.

"I have published one of many poetry books and also enjoy crafting customized pieces for various events and occasions," shared McBride. "Be it weddings, funerals, parties, or other significant moments, I find joy in creating poetry that resonates with others."

The Poetry Workshop promises to be an enriching and interactive experience for participants of all backgrounds and skill levels. Attendees will explore various poetic forms, techniques, and themes, receiving personalized feedback and guidance from McBride.
