Entry level base pay is $13.85 per hour—which equates to $28,808 annually, not including overtime or additional incentive pay. Second shift pays an additional 30 cents an hour. Health insurance is provided, starting the first of the month after 90 days of employment.

All workers must pass a physical demands test, drug screen and pre-employment background check. Physically, the job requires workers be able to stand for eight- to 10-hour shifts.

Workers also must be available to work both first and second shifts as well as required overtime. Qualifications specifically note “flexibility is a must.”

Applicants also must have a high school diploma or a GED.

The job fair is free and open to the public.

Those interested in working for Lear should bring several copies of their resume and wear professional attire appropriate for a job interview.

“Lear is hiring for permanent positions in the Flint area,” said Robert Matthews, associate vice president for Workforce & Economic Development at Mott Community College. “This is a great opportunity for people seeking full-time employment.”
