Two Flint schools had to prepare to safely reopen during a pandemic -- and also to accommodate more students. 

Over the course of 20 or so streams, volunteers from all walks of life and all parts of the city kept Flint children entertained and engaged.

Neighborhood residents have worked to stay safe and make sure others do the same in the midst of the pandemic.

Almost a half-mile long, Hasselbring Park shares its name with the Hasselbring Senior Center and stretches almost as far as the eye can see into Brownell-Holmes' northern border with Carpenter Road.
How Brownell-Holmes residents defined their Flint neighborhood on their own terms

Brownell-Holmes and its residents are one and the same. Thanks to their sense of community and dedication to their home, these residents have been able to prosper while much of the northside of Flint struggles.
