FLINT, Michigan — Flint native Boss Lady Reesé, music manager and co-host of The 810 Flow, recently appeared on The Ray Podcast to talk about the music industry in Flint, her partnership with Tay Boogie, and how she got started in entertainment. Below is a preview of what was discussed in the latest episode of The Ray Podcast. 

Rayvon Taylor: So what got you into the music world? 

Reese: “When I was a kid, my brother was a rapper, he was in a rap group. I used to watch 106 & Park and act like I was interviewing people, and my mom got me a microphone. I started doing interviews with myself.”

Rayvon Taylor: Talk about how the music scene in Flint has changed? 

Reese: “It’s a bigger spotlight on it so people are motivated now and everybody is seeing that people from here have made it to the industry. Everyone is taking it seriously and Flint is supporting that.”

Rayvon Taylor: Tell people what The 810 Flow is? 

Reese: “It’s a platform that me and Tay Boogie started. We created it to promote Flint artists and it’s only for Flint artists.”
