FLINT, Michigan — Sarvis Park, home to the Sarvis Park Neighborhood Association and presided over by 2nd Ward Councilwoman Dr. Ladel Lewis, is a constant reminder to never give up on one’s city.

Throughout 2022, Flintside chronicled the lives of Sarvis Park through community meetings, neighborhood celebrations, and engaging with the community itself.

Flintside’s newest photographer, Ryan Hobson, journeyed into Sarvis Park for the first time to document the area through a new perspective.
