FLINT, Michigan -- High school seniors in Flint and Genesee County interested in pursuing post-secondary education or training at a college or technical school in automotive-related fields once again have the opportunity to earn scholarships through the Back to the Bricks organization.
Eligible programs of study include auto-body repair/painting, automotive design, auto mechanics, electrical/manufacturing/mechanical engineering, robotics, sales and marketing, software development for automotive applications, welding, or a STEAM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math)-related program.
In the past four years, Back to the Bricks has awarded more than $40,000 in scholarships to area students.
The deadline to apply is May 7. Application information and other guidelines are
available on the Back to the Bricks website.
Each year, Back to the Bricks events attract more than 500,000 car enthusiasts to Flint and Genesee County. The organization is planning this year’s events, with information and updates provided
on their website.
