FLINT, Michigan — From now until Friday, April 7, the Greater Flint Arts Council (GFAC) is displaying the ‘Flint Artist Market’ exhibition which features original works of art by Michigan's most talented artists. Throughout the 4,000-square-foot gallery in downtown Flint, visitors can take in various forms of artwork crafted by local gems such as
James Draper of Burton and
Vicki Frappier of Flushing.
"These artists are mature in their craft," said Greg Fiedler, president and CEO of GFAC. "This is a good opportunity for the public to see art done by accomplished artists who are still living."
The artists featured in the exhibit are members of the Flint Artist Market, Flint’s longest-standing art organization which spans over 60 years and is comprised of artists from a range of artistic fields.
Fiedler explained that a significant part of GFAC's mission is to grow the arts in Genesee County and support the careers of professional artists. The 'Flint Artist Market' exhibit is a brimming example of the gallery's mission and displays the talents of Michigan right in the heart of downtown Flint.
Gallery hours to view the 'Flint Artist Market' exhibit are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
