Flint families invited to Well of Hope's Easter EGGstravaganza at Mott Park Playground (4/13)

FLINT, Michigan — Flint families are in for an afternoon of fun and support at the upcoming Easter EGGstravaganza hosted by Well of Hope in partnership with Randy Wise Chevrolet. The event will take place on Sunday, April 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Mott Park Playground.

Organizers of the event say the celebration is designed to bring joy to local children while also addressing a serious community need — access to affordable food.

The afternoon will include an egg decorating competition, an exciting egg hunt, and the chance to find one of two golden eggs. In addition, the first 50 families to arrive will receive a grocery gift card to help ease the cost of rising food prices.

“We recognize that kids need the fun and excitement that come with Easter traditions, but we also want to ease the burden of rising grocery costs for our community,” said Chia Morgan, president of Well of Hope. “This event helps us meet the ongoing food needs of families, extending beyond our Thanksgiving dinners and food pantries. We are grateful to our partners at Randy Wise Chevrolet for allowing us to do both.”

No pre-registration is required, and all families are welcome.

Well of Hope is a Flint-based nonprofit working to break the cycle of poverty, with a focus on addressing the city’s food desert. In addition to hosting events like the Easter EGGstravaganza, the organization connects residents with food and resources year-round.
