FLINT, Michigan — It may be the middle of summer, but at
Flint Farmers’ Market, it’s Christmas…in July! As the second installment of the Night at the Market series, Flint Farmers’ Market is hosting a special holiday edition on Thursday, July 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. The goal of the series is to provide extended hours of operation to individuals and families who might not otherwise have time to visit the Market during traditional hours.
The Christmas in July event will include live music on the rooftop at Market Tap and the atrium, prizes, a kids area, photo opportunities, and other activities. Shoppers donning their holiday best and seasonal sweaters can receive a free gift at the Friends of the Market booth.
Event Coordinator and Vendor, Tee Mathis says the initial Night at the Market was a big hit. “The first Night at the Market received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback, and we are so grateful. The second night is another opportunity for customers to check out and visit different vendors and experience what the market has to offer.”
Event Co-Coordinator, Karen DePottey says, “The first Night at the Market created a wave of excitement in the market. The second Night at the Market will have a Christmas in July theme with fun for the whole family.”
The Flint Farmers’ Market was established in 1905, and today has over 50 year-round vendors at 300 East First St. in downtown Flint. The indoor-outdoor space features produce vendors, a meat market, breads and baked goods, cheese, a wine shop, an art gallery, a cafe, unique groceries, and gifts.
The next Night at the Market takes place Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023.
