FLINT, Michigan — On Saturday, Nov. 4, the Flint’s Got Talent showcase returns for a second year at FIM Capitol Theatre (140 E 2nd St) in downtown Flint. Presented by
iMichigan Productions and WOW Outreach, ten aspiring local acts that range from musicians to dancers to poets will get a chance to perform in front of a live audience and compete for a grand prize of $1,000.
Auditions were held between Aug. 11 and Oct. 16, and were eligible for those ages 13 to 25 living in Flint and Genesee County. No prior experience was required to enter. Sponsors for the show include the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and Flint ReCAST.
The top ten finalists that will be performing include: Alannah Loggins, Chris Brown, FliCity Twinzz, Londyn Colter, MysterWre, Nyota Moody, Salera Collins, Victory Phifer, Xaviar McDonald, and Zy'mere Gee.
The winner of the showcase will be determined by the audience. Last year’s grand prize of $1,000 went to Ava Safely who sang Etta James’ classic “At Last.”
