One of the nation’s top experts in psychology of winning — in sports, business, and life — is coming to Flint. Hosted by the Crim Fitness Foundation, Athletics Pure Performance 2.0 will feature George Mumford, who is best known for his work with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
Mumford connects mindfulness with high performance. He has worked with a number of high profile individuals and teams, including the Bulls and the Lakers during championship seasons.
The event is 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25, 2018, at Dort Federal Event Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are available at the
Crim’s website. The first 500 people to register for the event receive a free copy of Mumford’s book, “The Mindful Athlete: Secrets to Pure Performance.”
An endorsement from five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant says: “George helped me understand the art of mindfulness. To be neither distracted or focused, rigid or flexible, passive or aggressive. I learned to just be.”
Bringing potent mindfulness insights and inspirations to athletes was only the beginning for Mumford who has expanded his teachings to include corporate executives, Olympians, academics, and highlighting the world of current and emerging leaders across said fields.
The evening will also feature Flint native Travis Thomas, founder of “Live, Yes And” who uses improve and performance to deliver a message focused on growth.
