FLINT, Michigan — Hamilton Community Health Network’s Lapeer, North Pointe, and Main clinics are expanding their services to include walk-in appointments Monday through Friday twice during the weekdays, including 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
The walk-in clinic appointments are 15 minutes of focused care for non-emergency appointments for non-life-threatening issues like colds, sprains, or minor injuries.
"We have been looking forward to getting back to our ‘normal’ for a while now. It’s a pleasure to see our providers and staff ready to welcome back walk-ins and get patients feeling better," said Roberta Chavez, Operations Manager at Hamilton North Pointe Clinic.
Each clinic's walk-in services will offer thorough family medicine health care, including behavioral health services, accepting patients of all ages. Locations will also feature on-site laboratories for testing and will be fully staffed to meet the demand of this new expansion.
"When someone is feeling under the weather, we don’t want him or her to be waiting to be seen. Instead, we want our patients to be treated,” said nurse practitioner Jon Lott.
The return of walk-in appointments has been a goal for Hamilton since the COVID-19 pandemic struck and limited the network’s ability to offer walk-in appointments. Now, with additional clinic staffing, medical providers, and the patient volume, Hamilton is excited to offer walk-in appointments early morning and right after lunch at select clinics.
Walk-In Appointment Hours:
Monday through Friday:
Morning: 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM
Afternoon: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Participating Clinics:
Lapeer Clinic: 1570 Suncrest Dr, Lapeer, MI 48446
North Pointe Clinic: 5710 Clio Rd, Flint, MI 48504
Main Clinic: 2900 Saginaw St, Flint, MI 48505
“We understand that time is valuable, and when you’re ill you need to be seen. Our Burton clinic has been holding walk-in hours for some time; we are now in the position to expand these hours to our Main, North Pointe, and Lapeer clinics,” explained Clarence Pierce, CEO of Hamilton Community Health Network. “The addition of walk-in hours will make it easier for our patients to be treated when they are coping with illnesses such as colds, flu, minor injuries, and so on. It’s all about our patients and their needs.”
Because walk-in appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis, patients are advised to arrive early with their ID and insurance cards with them.
In addition to taking advantage of walk-in appointments at the above locations, Hamilton encourages Flint residents to schedule an appointment. Hamilton can provide free or low-cost health screenings depending on your health insurance and income. You can reach Hamilton online at
HamiltonCHN.org or by calling 810-406-4246.
Hamilton will also be hosting its monthly behavioral health talk 'Happy Minds, Happy Body' on Tuesday, June 18 at North Pointe beginning at 11:00 AM which will cover issues pertaining to the LGBTQ+ community. Then on June 19, Hamilton is part of the National Minority Quality Forum that is holding an event at the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village (4119 Saginaw St).
On June 26, Hamilton will also be part of the upcoming Parkinson’s Disease and brain health event hosted by the Davis Phinney Foundation at the Riverfront in downtown Flint.
