FLINT, Michigan — Mott Community College’s is the first community college in Michigan to partner with AARP Foundation to offer a special initiative to support those over 50 who are looking for work.
Called Back to Work 50+, the program is being offered by MCC’s Workforce and Economic Development Division. The program includes monthly workshops and career coaching. The first workshop is 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2019 at MCC’s Workforce Development offices, 709 N. Saginaw St., in Flint.
Seating is limited, call 855-850-2525 to register.
“Many people aged 50 and up still want to work. What is nice about this program is that past work experience and training ... is not a prerequisite to participate,,” said Dartanyan Jamerson, director of workforce development. “It is a great opportunity to learn the strategies needed to compete for full-time, in-demand jobs today.”
