The Genesee Intermediate School District is set to host a preschool enrollment kick off event at the Flint Children’s Museum in Flint from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 17.
The free event is designed to help families throughout the community find out what opportunities are available for their children to ensure that they have a successful start to their future. Parents are encouraged to bring their children who will be able to explore and play in the museum free of charge while they learn about the various early childhood programs available.
“The preschool enrollment kickoff presents a wonderful opportunity for families to learn more about the programs and resources available to children in our community,” said Tricia Hill, executive director of the Center for Countywide Programs. “Studies show there are numerous benefits for children who attend high quality preschool programs. Making sure children are in the classroom early will provide a good foundation academically, and it can also help them develop good social skills, both of which they will utilize throughout their lives.”
The Flint Children’s Museum is located at 1602 University Ave. in Flint, across from Kettering University.
