A redesigned Lids store reopened at Genesee Valley Center showcasing the same design as the company’s store in New York City’s Times Square.

The store’s new design uses pedestal fixtures to serve as the initial focal point for customers. They feature headwear styles that are exclusive to LIDS as well as recently launched products from partners such as New Era, ‘47 and Nike. Technology plays a big part in the remodel as well with new digital messaging towers and screens added throughout the store.

Custom embroidery is a mainstay of Lids stores, but customers now have the ability to browse a digital library of customization options using touch-screen technology in the store’s “Custom Zone.” Hats can even have a player’s autograph embroidered onto it.

LIDS Sports Group currently operates more than 1,100 retail locations across North America and has sold more than 300 million hats since its founding.
