North Flint Safety Forum

Recognizing crime reduction as a key driver for economic development and
investment in north Flint, the Illuminating Community Change (IC2) project is a public health and safety initiative designed to address issues in the community discussed at business and resident driven meetings.

This Quarterly Safety Forum (attend on Zoom) is one of many community-based strategies used to create awareness about resources, programming and services available in the area. IC2 has a three-goal focus:

• To build collective efficacy by establishing collaborative relationships.
• To improve place-management and reduce crime attractors.
• To provide adult training and increase positive youth development and employment
• opportunities.

This Spring forum will share funded partner program highlights and introduce a call-to-action for collaboration in social justice. Please join us in Illuminating Community Change to improve the overall quality of life for residents and stakeholders north of Pierson Road.
