FLINT, Michigan — St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center will mark a major milestone next week with the grand opening of its new facility on Flint’s north side, furthering its mission to bring hope, compassion, and opportunity to families.

The celebration and ribbon-cutting will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3070 Pierson Road. The event is open to the public and will feature guided tours of the building and a light lunch for guests.

While the Center’s original Lawndale location will remain in use, the expansion allows the organization to serve more people through its workforce development programs, family support services, and sewing-based social enterprise.

“Expanding our sewing social enterprise isn’t just about more machines or more space, it’s about investing in lives,” said board member Dick Ebbott. “With this growth, we can train more participants in a skilled trade, provide meaningful paid work, and amplify our capacity to reinvest in the community.”

Executive Director Sr. Carol Weber said the new space reflects the vision the Center has carried since it first opened.
“When we first opened our doors, we had a vision of walking alongside people in their most difficult times,” Weber said. “This new facility brings that vision to life in ways we could have only dreamed of, empowering individuals with dignity, skills, and support for the future.”

Community members and media are encouraged to attend the event. To RSVP, complete this form by the end of the week.
