The Greater Flint African American Sports Hall of Fame (GFAASHOF) will announce its Class of 2026 Inductees
The Greater Flint African American Sports Hall of Fame announces its Class of 2026 on Feb. 10.

FLINT, Michigan — The Greater Flint African American Sports Hall of Fame will announce its Class of 2026 inductees during a public press event on Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library. The announcement will take place in the library’s first-floor conference room, with a reception immediately following.
Founded in October 1983, the Greater Flint African American Sports Hall of Fame was established to preserve and exhibit the history of African American athletes and teams from Flint, including those at the professional, collegiate, high school, city, and adult-league levels. The organization held its first induction ceremony in February 1985 and is currently housed at the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library.
In addition to the Feb. 10 announcement, the Hall of Fame will host its 40th Induction Ceremony and Dinner on Sunday, March 22, at the Genesys Conference & Banquet Center. The event begins at 4 p.m., with tickets priced at $50. Proceeds from the ceremony support the organization’s scholarship fund.
