Environmental justice workshop to train residents on neighborhood assets and concerns
The workshop and training is hosted by Environmental Transformation Movement of Flint, a group established last year. Flint resident Mona Munroe-Younis serves as executive director and one of seven board members.
FLINT, Michigan — The Environmental Transformation Movement of Flint will host an event to train residents to map neighborhood assets and concerns as well as develop into local leaders in environmental justice.
The workshop is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Neighborhood Engagement Hub, 3216 Martin Luther King Ave. in Flint. The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be served. Register at https://www.etmflint.org/upcoming-events.

This hands-on workshop is the first of the “Getting Ish Done! Community Leader Development Program for Environmental Justice + Restorative Practices (EJ + RP)” series hosted by the group.
“The next generation of environmental justice leaders will emerge from Flint. I want to support them in taking their personal bravery to scale, to protect our environmental health and future.” Munroe-Younis
