Flint celebrates 16th Annual Pride with weeklong lineup of community events
Flint residents will celebrate PRIDE with a week of events as Wellness Services hosts the city’s 16th annual Flint Pride celebration.

7/17/26 Update: Flint PRIDE has been postponed to September 19 due to Air Quality across Michigan.
FLINT, Michigan – Flint residents will once again celebrate PRIDE with a week of events as Wellness Services hosts the city’s 16th annual Flint PRIDE celebration. While June is nationally recognized as PRIDE Month in honor of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, communities across the country often hold their festivals at different times throughout the year.
In Flint, that tradition has now continued in July, bringing together residents, businesses and community organizations for a week of celebration, education and connection.
Since its founding, Flint PRIDE has grown into a community-wide celebration that includes entertainment, programming, educational discussions, and opportunities for LGBTQ+ residents and allies to connect.
Organized by Wellness Services, the annual event reflects the organization’s broader mission of promoting health, support services and visibility for the LGBTQ+ community while creating spaces that celebrate inclusion and belonging.
This year’s celebration follows several recent actions by local officials recognizing PRIDE Month. In May 2025, Mayor Sheldon Neeley signed a proclamation designating June as PRIDE Month in the City of Flint for 2025, 2026 and 2027, recognizing the contributions of LGBTQ+ residents and reaffirming the city’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
More recently, during its June meeting, the Flint City Council voted to recognize June as PRIDE Month after discussing how the city should formally acknowledge the annual observance. The resolution passed, adding another chapter to the city’s ongoing recognition of Pride.
This year’s celebration offers a diverse lineup of activities, from educational conversations and wellness programming to nightlife, live entertainment, and community gatherings.
