The program operates out of the Ferris Wheel building in downtown Flint and is funded by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and 100K Ideas. XLerateHealth opened its doors locally in January of 2019 with the goal of making Flint a standout city in the realm of health care entrepreneurship.
Anyone who was exposed to Flint water from April 25, 2014, to Oct. 15, 2015, is eligible. This includes individuals who lived, worked, or attended school in Flint during that time as well as children who were exposed prenatally. The Flint Registry connects participants to services that reduce the impact of the water crisis.
The author of two textbooks being used in 18 countries, Hiba Wehbe-Alamah is also winner of more than 30 Excellence in Teaching Golden Apple Awards and led the development of the first transcultural care computer simulation game, CultureCopia.
"What the Eyes Don't See" will be distributed throughout the state of Michigan as part of effort to launch public discourse and understanding of the Flint Water Crisis — and to inspire others to stand up to injustices.

The Young Innovators Fair is basically an old-school science fair on steroids. Hosted by Kettering University, it featured 102 students in fourth through seventh grade from five local schools with inventions that ran the gamut from stroller skis to a conditioner brush and styrofoam dissolving liquid to paw pads for pets.
