Open auditions start at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the “New” McCree Theatre inside New Standard Academy on Carpenter Road. Anyone from aspiring actors and actresses to those looking to try out something new are encouraged to display their talents. Just don’t forget to bring a poem or monologue to perform.

Residents of the east side welcomed the city's fourth Water Box, which was unveiled Monday, Dec. 2 at the Latinx Technology and Community Center. Developed by celebrity Jaden Smith's nonprofit, the technology is changing the face of clean water distribution in Flint.
