Dawn Jones named Humanity in Harmony Journalist in Residence

Flint's Humanity in Harmony Music Festival is the only Michigan-based celebration of Daniel Pearl World Music Day. It will feature local and international artists at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, in the MacArthur Recital Hall at the Flint Institute of Music.

Kettering University Founders’ Week features top 25 employers

William S. White took the stage on Monday for what would be his last public appearance. He died Wednesday, Oct. 9, at age 82, less than 48 hours after being honored for his work during the Council of Michigan Foundations annual meeting this week in Traverse City and addressing hundreds of the state's top philanthropic leaders.

Free City Mural Festival to transform south Flint, celebrate city’s massive art project

See muralists at work, participate in live painting sessions or enjoy the skate park, food trucks, and family activities from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, on South Saginaw Street between Atherton and Hemphill roads.

Flint Fright Film Fest to feature more than 30 short horror films from around the world

The annual event hosted by Flint Horror Collective returns to Mott Community College on Saturday, Oct. 12. Films run from  noon to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 each.

Comedy for Crossover to feature award-winning comedian Chris Young

Now in its second year, Comedy for Crossover will feature three Michigan comedians on Oct. 18 at the Flint Farmers' Market. Tickets are $25 and doors open at 6:30 p.m.
