Flint’s Third Annual Rx Kids Baby Press Conference Set for July 17

FLINT, Michigan — On Friday, July 17, Rx Kids will hold a press conference to announce the expansion of the nation’s first-ever community-wide prenatal and infant cash prescription program to additional Genesee County communities.

The tradition traces back to early 20th-century “baby parades” that advocates used to raise awareness of child and maternal health. Rx Kids launched in January 2024 and held its first Flint baby parade that summer, with plans to make it an annual event across all Rx Kids communities.
