Genesee Health System to host community Block Party
GHS invites families to its June 25 Block Party with food, games, resources, and summer fun for all.

FLINT, Michigan — Genesee Health System will host a community Block Party on Thursday, June 25, 2026, inviting families to an evening of food, activities, entertainment, and local resources.
The event will take place from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the GHS Main Campus and is designed to bring residents together for family-friendly summer fun and community connection.
“The daily work GHS does to create supportive mental and physical health spaces must directly respond to our community’s needs. We want events like this to become natural icebreakers for anyone seeking help,” said Danis Russell, GHS Chief Executive Officer. “A neighborhood gathering can boost mental well-being and drive social inclusion while expanding our reach to connect families with vital wellness resources.”

Attendees can expect games, crafts, hands-on activities, music, entertainment, food trucks, treats, and summer eats. The event will also feature a petting zoo, reptile adventures, a kids zone, interactive experiences, a touch-a-truck area, and a cool car showcase.
In addition to entertainment, the Block Party will connect families with community resources and wellness information from local organizations and partners.
Community partners listed on the event flyer include YWCA Greater Flint, Ennis Center for Children, Genesee Community Health Center, Voices for Children, Greater Flint Health Coalition, Early On Genesee County, Gloria Coles Flint Public Library, Flint Children’s Museum, and others.
