Flint's THOT SQUAD to Headline Free 810 Day Family Celebration at Mott Park

FLINT, Michigan — International recording artist THOT SQUAD, also known as Blvck Bunnie, is bringing a free, family-friendly 810 Day celebration to the Mott Park Clubhouse on Friday, August 14. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 7:30.

A Flint native from the city’s north side, THOT SQUAD is currently on tour with Qveen Herby and is known for going viral online, as well as for voicing the superhero character Prism in the award-winning video game Dispatch.

She said that as 810 Day celebrations have grown in popularity, she noticed a lack of variety in how the day was represented, and set out to create a safe, free event highlighting the range of art Flint has to offer.

The evening will feature a comedy set from Jecorey Hawkins, a dance showcase by Vertical Ambition, and a headlining concert from THOT SQUAD, fresh off tour.

Food vendors, games, and prizes will also be part of the celebration.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to help Vertical Ambition replace an awning at their dance studio that was damaged in a fire.
