Dreamz Two Reality hosts 3rd annual All-American basketball game in Flint

FLINT, Michigan — Dreamz Two Reality brought high-level basketball talent to Flint over the weekend for its 3rd annual Dreamz Two Reality All-American Game at Flint Hamady High School.

The event, held Saturday, May 9, featured Team Dreamz Two Reality North facing Team Dreamz Two Reality South, with athletes representing high schools from across Michigan and beyond. Players came from communities including Flint, Saginaw, Warren, East Lansing, Kentwood, Romulus, Kalamazoo, Hamtramck, Rockford, Willoughby, Ohio, Phoenix, Arizona, Gainesville, Florida, Des Moines, Iowa, Putnam, Connecticut, and St. Petersburg, Florida.

In addition to the game, the event featured a three-point shootout, slam dunk contest, raffle giveaways, prizes, and music by DJ Chef Nate. Kelvin Torbert Jr., a Bowling Green State University commit from East Lansing High School, was named Most Valuable Player after scoring 47 points. He also won the slam dunk contest with a combined championship-round score of 70 across two dunks, taking home the MVP trophy and a 50-inch smart TV.

Randy Chapman, a Saginaw Valley State University commit from East Kentwood High School, won the three-point contest with a championship-round score of 20. Other top performers included Jaylin Cooper, who led the North team with 40 points, along with Amari’yunn Blythe, who scored 36 points for the South team.

The annual showcase continues to create space for young basketball players to compete, gain exposure, and bring community members together around the sport. The event was supported by multiple local and regional sponsors, including Smooth Steppers, Mae Cares Assisted Living, D-Milow Enterprise, Paymo Talent, Family Kicks Buy Sell Trade, and Vibes Soulful Nutrition & Wellness.
