New exhibit at FIA captures the beauty of forgotten towns in rural America

The fascinating exhibit "The Last Picture Show: Paintings by Rod Penner" features photorealistic paintings of forgotten towns across rural southwest America. The cinematic-like collection is on display at the FIA now through Aug.13 in the Dow Gallery.

Flint Fright Film Fest to feature more than 30 short horror films from around the world

The annual event hosted by Flint Horror Collective returns to Mott Community College on Saturday, Oct. 12. Films run from  noon to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 each.
