FLINT, Michigan — Flint natives Stefanie Norman and Mason Gallo are set to celebrate the winter solstice in style with the first-ever Queer Solstice Soiree, a festive gathering for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies, on Friday, Dec. 20, at Good Beans Café (328 N Grand Traverse St). The free event aims to create a welcoming space to mark the season in a casually elegant yet inclusive atmosphere.

Running from 6 to 10 p.m., the soirée will feature a variety of activities and an array of appetizers and sweet treats. Mocktails will also be available for purchase. Local talent will take center stage, with a tarot reader, henna artist, massage therapist, and several artists showcasing their handmade goods.

For those feeling crafty, a holiday card and craft-making table will be available for some last-minute creative touches to the season’s celebrations. While the event encourages attendees to embrace a casually elegant style, guests are welcome to dress in whatever way makes them feel most comfortable.

Whether you’re looking to relax, shop, or simply enjoy the festive atmosphere, the Queer Solstice Soiree promises to be an evening of connection, creativity, and community.
