FLINT, Michigan — Flint youth are invited to take part in a free 3-on-3 basketball tournament during the Mott Foundation Centennial Family Fun Days, happening June 6–7 on the Flint Cultural Center campus.
The tournament, organized through Moneyball Sportswear, will take place at the Flint Cultural Center Academy. Games are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, with finals beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, June 7.
The event is open to boys and girls in age divisions 11–12, 13–14, 15–16, and 17–18. Teams may include four players, and each participant will receive a reversible jersey. Entry is free, with priority registration given to Flint residents. Registration closes May 31 or once divisions are filled, with each division limited to 10 teams.

The basketball tournament is part of a larger weekend celebration marking the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation’s 100th anniversary. Centennial Family Fun Days will feature free admission and activities across Flint Cultural Center institutions, including the Flint Institute of Arts, Sloan Museum of Discovery, Longway Planetarium, Flint Institute of Music, Gloria Coles Flint Public Library, Applewood Estate, and the Flint Cultural Center Academy.
Saturday’s activities include a scavenger hunt, a bounce house, a gaming truck, a free community lunch, live outdoor performances, art-making activities, glassblowing demonstrations, book giveaways, a foam party, a soapbox derby, a seedling giveaway, a table tennis tournament, and access to exhibits and programs across campus. Food trucks and vendors will also be available throughout the weekend.
“We couldn’t think of a better way to mark our centennial than to celebrate our hometown of Flint — its people, its spirit and its future,” said Ridgway White, president and CEO of the Mott Foundation. “This is our way of saying thank you to the community we’ve worked alongside for a century. We hope everyone comes out, brings their families, and makes some great memories.”
