Catch a classic Christmas movie at the Capitol Theatre
Tickets are $5 for adults and kids are free. The lineup of films includes "The Year Without A Santa Claus" (plus "Rudolph's Shiny New Year" and "Nester the Long Eared Christmas Donkey"), "Elf," and "It's a Wonderful Life."
FLINT, Michigan — Movies are returning to the Capitol Theatre — where classic Christmas movies will be showing every week between now and Christmas.
“This is the first year we have had movies at the Capitol Theatre since the completion of the restoration. We are so excited to show these films and pay homage to the historical past of the Capitol,” said Ashley Schoen, marketing and communications manager for The Whiting and The Capitol Theatre.
The first of the three-weekend movie series is 2 p.m. Dec. 8, and it is actually three ƒamily friendly movies in one. The lineup includes “The Year Without A Santa Claus,” “Rudolph’s Shiny New Year,” and “Nestor the Long Eared Christmas Donkey.”
At 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14, the modern comedy classic, “Elf” is being shown with the quintessential Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” wrapping up The Capitol’s holiday movie series at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 20.
All movies are $5 for adults and children 12 and under are free.
